The project will provide oncology and cardiology patients with a new facility with an integrated approach, which will foster collaboration and provide improved services to patients in one location. The new building will connect back to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with an enclosed overstreet walkway connector.

This freestanding Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency medical services to the Northwest Charlotte area and was constructed by the Vannoy Construction and McFarland Construction Joint Venture team. The project included the construction of a 13,320 sf building which includes six (6) emergency department (ED) rooms open 24/7, including one (1) trauma room, a three-bay (3) triage area, and two (2) observation beds. The space also includes the following imaging services to support the ED: CT scanner, ultrasound, fixed x-ray, portable x-ray, and laboratory services. The sitework for the facility included modification to the 2.9 acres, including adding 84 parking spaces along with a 400kW generator for providing emergency power to the facility.

The Henderson County Joint Health and Education Center consists of a three story facility of approximately 99,000 sf. The First Floor (35,461 sf) is occupied by Pardee Health as an Outpatient Cancer Center/Infusion Center, while the Second (30,857 sf) and Third Floors (32,441 sf) are for higher education and medical simulation use by Wingate University and Blue Ridge Community College.
The facility is aimed at the betterment of Henderson County and will improve educational opportunities and medical care for County residents by strengthening ties between the hospital, higher education institutions and municipal groups.
Client: Presbyterian Hospital
Location: Huntersville, NC

Construction of a $15 million, two-story, 53,000 sf vertical expansion bed tower above the existing Surgical Suite and an 8,000 sf expansion of the existing ICU Wing and Emergency Department (ED). The vertical expansion included (28) new acute care beds, 10 new observation beds and a new Well Baby Nursery. ICU and ED expansion included two new ICU’s, additional support space for the ED and a new egress stair tower. The project required constant communication with the Hospital staff as we worked above operating rooms and beside existing ICU rooms. SIS installed the interior framing and wall finishes.

This project consisted of new construction of campus plant facility totaling 120,000 sf. The facility included a state of the art emergency power system housing 4 in-line generators capable of immediate start – load determination, and proper adjustment to serve the entire main campus of the hospital. SIS constructed the metal stud exterior framing and interior framing with acoustical ceilings.
